The role of Banquet Cook at Ridglea Country Club is critical to the smooth and successful operation of the club’s banquet services under the direction of the Executive Chef and Banquet Sous Chef. The Banquet Cook is responsible for producing all food for banquets with a keen focus on quality, presentation, and adherence to standard operating procedures. This position requires thorough knowledge of culinary techniques, efficient food production processes, and stringent safety and sanitation standards. The Banquet Cook ensures proper management of food costs and waste control through effective planning, preparation, and execution of menus. This role is essential in maintaining the club’s reputation for excellence and delivering an unforgettable dining experience to members and guests.

The Banquet Cook’s duties include preparing the correct amount of mise en place, producing food to precise quality and taste specifications, and assisting in the preparation of serving lines as needed. The role demands strong organizational skills to assemble necessary tools and prioritize tasks efficiently while promoting teamwork and cooperation within the kitchen staff. Sanitation and hygiene are emphasized, with responsibilities to maintain clean workstations, coolers, and proper food storage according to safety standards. The Banquet Cook must consistently taste and assess food quality, manage walk-in cooler items using FIFO standards, and handle special member requests with sensitivity and professionalism.

Furthermore, this position requires regular communication with culinary leadership to update on daily operations and review performance. The Banquet Cook attends monthly kitchen meetings and undertakes additional tasks as assigned by the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to support the overall functionality of the banquet kitchen. Job Requirements
