The role of a line cook at OLIVIA is integral to our kitchen operations and overall guest satisfaction. Line cooks must produce all orders required by business volume and supervisory direction, working quickly and efficiently without compromising quality. Responsibilities include opening the kitchen station by preparing and organizing the area, cooking food necessary to start service, and preparing all orders as they come in from wait staff. Cooks are expected to ensure that food is cooked according to order specifications and leaves the kitchen in optimal condition, reflecting our commitment to quality and consistency.
In addition to daily food preparation tasks, line cooks are responsible for learning the menus, recipes, preparation methods, and presentation standards to maintain uniformity in every dish served. Proper storage of food items in the correct containers at the right temperatures is essential, as is cooking only the necessary amount of food to meet business needs without sacrificing freshness. Preparation of food needed by other kitchen sections, as well as preparing for upcoming shifts and days, forms part of the cook's duties under supervisor guidance.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience as a line cook or similar role preferred
- knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene
- ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- good physical stamina and dexterity
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
