This job opening is for the positions of Line Cook and Prep Cook in the San Diego locations. These roles are integral to the kitchen team and require dependable and motivated individuals who are eager to grow professionally. Employees in these positions will be tasked with preparing and executing menu items with strict adherence to company recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish served. The roles provide an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment where teamwork, efficiency, and attention to detail are essential.

Compensation starts at $19.00 per hour following the successful completion of the introductory hiring period, with additional shared tips averaging between $3.00 and $6.00 per hour, varying by location. Shawarma Guys offers a structured growth plan with scheduled pay reviews at 60 days, 8 months, and 14 months, enabling employees to potentially increase their hourly wage by up to an additional $3.00 within just over a year. Advancement opportunities include promotions to Assistant-level roles, which can offer wages up to $24.00 per hour.

Candidates must be capable of lifting 50+ pounds safely and demonstrate professionalism, respect, team orientation, and the ability to perform efficiently under pressure. Familiarity with Middle Eastern cuisine, particularly shawarma, and bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) are considered advantages. The position is part-time and requires working day and night shifts at the in-person San Diego location.

Job Duties
