Job Description

Tartine is a renowned bakery and café company known for its commitment to exceptional quality and artisanal culinary craftsmanship. Established with a passionate desire to create outstanding baked goods and dishes using fine ingredients and traditional techniques, Tartine has grown into a celebrated establishment with a strong reputation in the food industry. As a dynamic and innovative company, Tartine places a high value on its mission to provide not only delicious food but also an inspiring and respectful workplace culture where employees can thrive and develop their skills. With a focus on integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement, the company nurtures a supportive environment dedicated to culinary excellence and customer satisfaction.

The Line Cook / Pizza Maker / PM position at Tartine’s Manufactory is an hourly role offering $20.00 per hour plus tips, requiring a commitment to working five days a week—from Wednesday through Sunday—from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm. This role is integral to the kitchen team, working closely under the guidance of the chef de cuisine and sous chefs to execute food production and dish preparation with precision and care. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with pizza making, preferably with high-temperature ovens, although wood-fired pizza experience is not mandatory but would be advantageous.

The position demands an individual who can uphold Tartine’s high standards for product quality and kitchen organization. Responsibilities include preparing menu items, maintaining cleanliness, organizing kitchen workflow, and collaborating on mise en place to ensure timely service. The role emphasizes working efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while fostering respectful communication and teamwork. The right candidate will take ownership of their assigned stations, work autonomously without constant supervision, and contribute to a positive workplace culture focused on growth and development. This opportunity is suitable for culinary professionals eager to deepen their skills in pizza preparation and kitchen management while being part of a prestigious and values-driven food establishment.
