Job Requirements
- Must be 21 or older
- Ability to obtain City of Chicago food service certification
- Able to work needed hours during operations
- Demonstrates cleanliness in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Demonstrates good communication skills
- Develops relationships built on trust
- Listens actively and empathetically
- Treats others with respect
- Able to lift 40 lbs and maneuver cases of food
- Able to work on feet for an average of 8 hours in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in kitchen cooking and food preparation is beneficial
- Knife skills and ability to work multiple stations
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Certification in food handling (City of Chicago or ability to obtain upon hire)
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
- Assist in training new kitchen staff with acquired recipe knowledge
- Manage inventory and build relationships with vendors as trained
- Support party management and daily kitchen operations
- Contribute to menu development and specials after gaining experience
