Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 or older
  • Ability to obtain City of Chicago food service certification
  • Able to work needed hours during operations
  • Demonstrates cleanliness in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Demonstrates good communication skills
  • Develops relationships built on trust
  • Listens actively and empathetically
  • Treats others with respect
  • Able to lift 40 lbs and maneuver cases of food
  • Able to work on feet for an average of 8 hours in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in kitchen cooking and food preparation is beneficial
  • Knife skills and ability to work multiple stations
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Certification in food handling (City of Chicago or ability to obtain upon hire)

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food according to established recipes and standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with health and safety regulations
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Assist in training new kitchen staff with acquired recipe knowledge
  • Manage inventory and build relationships with vendors as trained
  • Support party management and daily kitchen operations
  • Contribute to menu development and specials after gaining experience
