Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior culinary experience preferred
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible hours including overnight shifts
  • Strong attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Provide outstanding customer service to all residents, family members, responsible persons, and visitors of residents in the community
  • Communicate with immediate supervisor on par levels of food items
  • Review daily recipes for required ingredients and ensure sufficient stock of all ingredients
  • Accurately follow recipes provided, including cooking times and ingredient preparation
  • Ensure that refrigerators, freezers, working areas and kitchen are kept clean
  • Ensure that equipment is functioning, sanitized and that any maintenance is reported to supervisor
  • Ensure strict control of waste and portion and help to control food quality and cost using standard recipe methods, pictures
  • Design specials for the day when required
  • Ensure compliance with all local laws, and health and sanitation regulations
  • Must be able to perform all line, prep and sanitation duties
  • Participate in on-going in-service and training requirements
  • Follow emergency procedures
  • Understand and comply with all Inspir safety practices and procedures
  • Ability to work the overnight shift
  • Ability to receive and properly store food deliveries, including and the receipt and storage of overnight deliveries
