The Line Cook PM Shift position at Le Meridien Indianapolis is designed for an ambitious and fun individual who thrives in a fast-paced culinary environment. This role demands dedication to enhancing the customer experience by preparing and plating dishes with precision and care during the evening shift. The Line Cook will work closely with the Executive Chef and other kitchen team members to ensure all menu items meet the hotel's high standards. Responsibilities include preparing sauces, soups, and various dishes mainly for breakfast and lunch menus but also supporting dinner preparations under the guidance of the Executive Chef. This position requires adherence to written recipes, maintaining stringent health and sanitation standards, and contributing to the smooth operation of the restaurant and employee cafeteria.

The ideal candidate will be motivated and able to work independently, ensuring tasks are completed thoroughly and professionally. The Line Cook PM Shift role also involves supervising dishwashers and pantry personnel, ensuring that the dining room associates follow proper order and pickup procedures. This role is integral to the success of the kitchen team and the overall guest experience. Job Duties

  • adhere to all prepared written recipes for all menu items
  • report out of stock items to the executive chef
  • prepare all sauces and all dishes for breakfast and lunch menus
  • help set-up restaurant and employee cafeteria buffet
  • prepare soups under the executive chef’s direction
  • supervise and assist dishwashers and pantry personnel
  • assure all dining room associates adhere to the proper ordering and pick-up procedures
  • perform dinner set-up duties according to the prep list schedule
  • maintain health and sanitation standards
