The Roof Restaurant and our banquet and event spaces offer guests not just meals but memorable dining experiences that combine elegant atmosphere with top-tier food quality and service. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Line Cook for a part-time position, offering between 20 and 30 hours per week with shifts available during evenings, weekends, and days. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience as a line cook, cook, or prep cook
- strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- capacity to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to repetitively bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
- ability to pass a drug screen and background check
- willingness to abide by company policies
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a line cook, cook, or prep cook in upscale dining or restaurant settings preferred
- strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume kitchen
- excellent teamwork and communication skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- culinary degree or formal training is a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare and execute upscale menu items with consistency and precision
- collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff in a fast-paced upscale dining environment
- maintain high standards of plating, presentation, and timing
- ensure food safety, cleanliness, and organization at your station
- work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- assist with inventory and kitchen setup as needed
- take on additional duties as required or assigned by management
