Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
  • Ability to stand, kneel, stoop, twist, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • Knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene practices
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as steamers, griddles, fryers, and ovens
  • Willingness to comply with all safety procedures and regulations
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as required

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques including braising, sautéing, roasting, grilling
  • Proficiency in knife handling
  • Ability to work hands-on in various kitchen positions

  • Current with culinary and dining trends

Job Duties

  • Assist Executive Chef and Sous Chef with overall dining program
  • Maintain clean and organized kitchen
  • Train co-workers on cooking techniques as needed
  • Follow all safety, health, and sanitation standards
  • Prepare menu items using various cooking techniques
  • Participate in catering and special event food and beverage service
  • Manage inventory and production efficiently
