Job Requirements
- Available to work part-time including specified shifts and some weekends
- Able to lift at least 40 lbs
- Able to stand and perform physical tasks such as bending, stretching, pulling, and pushing
- Willing to undergo fingerprinted criminal background check (Livescan)
- Able to pass health screening, TB test, and drug test
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Positive and service-minded approach
Job Qualifications
- Prior professional cooking experience
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professionalism and a positive attitude
- Ability to handle physical tasks required in a kitchen environment
- Experience in preparing meals for seniors or special diets preferred
- Strong communication skills
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements and residents’ needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines strictly
- Collaborate with kitchen staff across two kitchens for smooth food service delivery
- Assist in inventory management and restocking supplies
- Provide friendly and courteous service to residents and staff
- Adapt to low-volume meal preparation ensuring attention to detail
