Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in cooking or food preparation preferred
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Must be able to follow recipes and portion control guidelines
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including events
  • Valid food handling certificate if applicable
  • Commitment to excellent attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • Previous cook or prep cook experience highly preferred
  • Able to operate standard kitchen equipment including broiler steamer convection oven mixer meat slicer and chef knife
  • Ability to communicate clearly respectfully and professionally with employees coworkers volunteers management staff and guests
  • Ability to work well in a team oriented fast paced event driven environment
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations
  • ServSafe preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide high-quality fresh food products in a timely manner
  • Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portion requirements
  • Participate as a team player with responsibilities related to preparation and delivery of products
  • Report maintenance needs for kitchen equipment
  • Maintain sanitation health and safety standards in work areas
  • Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking
  • Portion arrange and garnish food plates for guests
  • Consult with Executive Chef Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate consumption
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance
