The company operates across four continents and manages a prestigious portfolio including seven world-class owned venues as well as an extensive client list featuring iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions. Recognized for its commitment to innovation and excellence in the live event industry, OVG continues to expand its influence and enhance guest experiences worldwide.
This specific role is with the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, an impressive venue with a 12,500-seat arena, 34 luxury suites, 476 club seats, over 54,000 square feet of meeting and exhibition space, and the unique arena-view restaurant called Spotlight Grille. The arena is notably the home court to Florida State Men’s and Women’s basketball teams and is well-known for its dynamic atmosphere and loyal fan base. Beyond basketball, the versatility of the venue enables it to host a diverse range of events such as music concerts, trade shows, religious services, catered functions, receptions, and classes.
The Line Cook plays a vital role within this dynamic venue. This position entails preparing fresh, high-quality food items efficiently for delivery to guests in various areas of the Civic Center. Line Cooks often interact directly with the public while serving food at buffet lines, stations, event suites, and during basketball games or concerts. Essential responsibilities include following company recipes and portioning standards, maintaining sanitation and safety standards, and collaborating closely with kitchen leadership such as the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Lead Line Cook in menu planning and food consumption estimates. The role demands excellent attendance, flexibility to work scheduled events, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Offering an hourly wage ranging from $16.00 to $18.00, this part-time role also includes benefits like a 401(k) savings plan and matching contributions, providing employees with valuable financial growth opportunities. The position remains open until September 4, 2026, ensuring ample opportunity for interested candidates to join this prestigious operation. Joining the Oak View Group team means becoming part of a company committed to diversity, inclusivity, and equal employment opportunities, fostering an innovative and supportive workplace culture rich in diversity and dedicated to excellence.
