Job Description
Oak View Group (OVG) is a premier global leader in live entertainment infrastructure and services, established in 2015. The company operates on a robust platform that covers venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales, serving world-class arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. With a strong portfolio of seven owned venues and a distinguished client roster featuring some of the most iconic live entertainment properties globally, OVG is committed to redefining the guest experience and industry standards through innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
OVG offers an exciting opportunity for candidates passionate about working in the live entertainment and hospitality industry. The company is currently hiring Line Cooks for various events and venues, including Dickey-Stephens Park (DSP) in North Little Rock, Arkansas. DSP, built in 2007, is a renowned local landmark that hosts the Arkansas Travelers, the Seattle Mariners' AA affiliate, and numerous other community events. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments where delivering high-quality food service to guests is a top priority.
As a Line Cook at OVG, your main responsibility is to prepare a variety of hot and cold foods to be served throughout the venue, from concession stands to premium serving areas. The Line Cook plays a crucial role in ensuring guests receive fresh, delicious, and timely food options, thereby contributing to an exceptional event or game day experience. Duties include preparing salads, slicing meats and vegetables, assembling charcuterie boards and vegetable trays, and managing both morning prep and night game shifts based on availability. This position offers an hourly wage between $14.00 and $18.00, reflecting the importance of the role and the skills required.
The Line Cook must maintain stringent sanitation, health, and safety standards while working with various kitchen equipment such as broilers, steamers, convection ovens, mixers, meat slicers, and chef knives. This includes observing and testing food to ensure it is cooked properly, portioning, garnishing plates, and coordinating with the Kitchen Supervisor and management to estimate food consumption and plan menus. Effective communication skills and the ability to work harmoniously in a team-oriented and event-driven environment are essential qualities for success in this role. Additionally, the Line Cook frequently interacts with customers in various settings, making a customer-focused attitude imperative.
OVG embraces diversity and inclusion as part of its core values, fostering a workplace culture that positively disrupts the sports and live entertainment industries by celebrating people from all backgrounds. The company is an equal opportunity employer committed to nondiscriminatory hiring practices. Part-time employees benefit from a 401(k) Savings Plan with company matching, underscoring OVG's commitment to supporting their workforce not only during employment but also in their long-term financial planning. This position will remain open until September 4, 2026, providing ample opportunity for candidates to become part of the OVG team and contribute to memorable live experiences worldwide.
