Job Description
This prestigious venue is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our dedicated culinary team. We specialize in serving high-quality foods to our guests through various concession stands and premium serving areas within the venue. Renowned for our commitment to quality and guest satisfaction, we offer a dynamic work environment where our culinary staff plays a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional dining experience at events. Our establishment serves a diverse and ever-changing clientele, which provides a unique, fast-paced work atmosphere that thrives on teamwork and precision.
The Line Cook at this venue is primarily responsible for preparing fresh and high-quality food items to be served to guests in multiple settings, including concession stands, premium areas, and the main kitchen. In addition to cooking, the role involves preparing cold preps such as salads, slicing meats and vegetables, and assembling visually appealing charcuterie boards and vegetable trays. Our schedule includes morning prep shifts as well as evening shifts during games or events, providing flexibility based on your availability.
This position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $14.00 to $18.00 and is part-time, making it ideal for those looking to complement other commitments. Along with wages, part-time team members benefit from a 401(k) Savings Plan with matching contributions, encouraging long-term financial wellness. This role is open until September 4, 2026, reflecting our pressing need to expand our culinary team with reliable and enthusiastic cooks.
As a Line Cook here, you will work closely with the kitchen supervisor and management to help plan menus and estimate food consumption, ensuring a smooth operation that satisfies guest demand. Attention to detail and adherence to company recipes, cooking techniques, and portion control is crucial to maintain our high standards. Your role will involve not only cooking but also garnishing and arranging food plates before delivery to guests, providing a complete service experience.
Maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards is a top priority in all kitchen work areas. The Line Cook will be responsible for cleaning as needed, reporting any maintenance issues related to kitchen equipment, and ensuring a safe environment that supports both employees and guests. Additionally, you will be expected to show a strong commitment to excellent attendance and reliable performance, contributing positively to the team's success.
This job is suited for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, event-driven environment and who are comfortable communicating with a variety of people, including fellow employees, management, volunteers, and guests. We encourage teamwork, enthusiasm, and cooperation, aiming to create a positive workplace culture that reflects our values and dedication to exceptional service. Previous cooking or prep experience is highly preferred, and proficiency with standard kitchen equipment, such as broilers, steamers, convection ovens, mixers, meat slicers, and chef knives, is essential.
Candidates should possess or be willing to obtain a valid food handling certificate based on state and federal requirements. Holding a ServSafe certification is preferred and considered an asset. This role offers an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals or enthusiasts seeking a part-time position with competitive benefits and the chance to develop their skills in a supportive and reputable venue.
