We are currently seeking dedicated Line Cooks to join our kitchen team, specializing in stations like Fry, Grill, Sauté, Steam, and Taco assembly. This role is integral to maintaining the high standards of food quality and consistency that Torchy's is known for. As a Line Cook, you will operate in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment where your culinary skills and attention to detail will contribute directly to guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include handling different cooking stations, ensuring every taco and dish that leaves the kitchen meets Torchy’s exacting standards for taste and presentation.
Successful candidates will excel in multitasking and teamwork, working seamlessly with other Back of House team members to prepare food efficiently during peak hours. The role demands a committed work ethic and the ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in all cooking areas to comply with food safety and sanitation rules. Torchy's offers competitive pay, ranging from $12.00 to $15.00 per hour based on experience, plus pooled tips, providing a strong earning potential. Job Requirements
- Must meet state and local requirements for food handler’s certification
- certification must be obtained by first day or within required timeline
- ability to stand for several hours
- ability to bend stretch twist or reach for objects at various heights
- ability to lift push pull or carry objects up to 40 pounds
- ability to work varied hours based on restaurant needs
- ability to serve guests with high sense of urgency

Job Duties
- Master the fry station ensuring fried items are cooked to perfection
- operate the grill station cooking proteins to correct temperature
- manage the sauté station handling various ingredients
- operate steam equipment to prepare dishes requiring steaming
- assemble and build each taco to order
- prepare and cook ingredients according to Torchy's recipes
- monitor quality and presentation of each dish
- maintain clean and organized workstation
- collaborate with back of house team members
- assist with inventory management
- operate with a sense of urgency during busy periods
