Shaner Hotels is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated culinary professionals to join their team at the Buffalo Marriott LECOM HARBORCENTER. This position offers flexibility with full-time and part-time employment opportunities and a starting pay rate of $19.50 per hour, negotiable based on experience. This role demands a passionate individual able to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays, willing to adhere to high-quality food preparation and service standards synonymous with Marriott and Shaner Hotels.
The role involves contributing creatively to the culinary offerings by designing new and unique menu items under the guidance of the Executive Chef, assisting in budget planning and ensuring strict adherence to budgetary guidelines, as well as maintaining sanitation, safety, and operational standards. The ideal candidate will work closely within the kitchen team to ensure all dishes meet the exacting hotel's standards for quality and presentation. The candidate will also be proactive in maintaining equipment cleanliness and function through routine inspections and the culinary preventative maintenance program, all while complying with federal, state, and local regulations related to health, safety, and labor requirements.
This role is highly engaging and hands-on, requiring attention to detail, creativity in menu development, and a commitment to exceptional guest service. The environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and requires the ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, and fellow staff. Physical stamina is necessary due to the demands of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks essential to food preparation and kitchen operations.

Job Duties
- Be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends holidays and varied shifts

- Ensure all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to hotel standards
- Ensure all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through inspection and preventive maintenance

- Plan prep set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials
