The role of a Line Cook at Ole Red is an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals who thrive in fast-paced, high-volume kitchens surrounded by the thrill of live music. As a Line Cook, you are integral to the guest experience, responsible for preparing high-quality food that matches the venue's lively atmosphere. This position, offering pay starting at $18 to $20 per hour depending on experience, is a full-time role that includes free employee parking and a comprehensive benefits package. Your work will involve executing a variety of cooking techniques such as sautéing, grilling, frying, baking, and roasting using professional kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, grills, fryers, and microwaves.
Beyond cooking, the Line Cook also performs advanced food preparation tasks involving precise knife skills such as slicing, chopping, dicing, mincing, and julienning. You will follow standardized recipes closely, maintain portion control to minimize waste, and ensure that food orders are prepared promptly and accurately according to communicated ticket orders. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment is critical, including tasks such as cleaning walk-in coolers, storing food and chemicals properly, and ensuring that all kitchen areas meet safety and sanitation standards.
The position requires a dedicated team player who is passionate about culinary arts and can contribute positively to the service culture. Line Cooks at Ole Red model company service basics, adhere to corporate safety and security policies, and maintain operational standards that uphold the integrity and reputation of the establishment. All employees are expected to report any unsafe conditions and contribute to keeping the kitchen secure at closing. Additionally, the role may involve coordinating duties such as replenishing cookware and assisting dishwashers with cleaning tasks when necessary.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
