Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in cooking or food preparation preferred
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for long periods
  • availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • strong teamwork and communication skills
  • reliable and punctual
  • willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen preferred
  • strong technical cooking skills including multiple cooking methods
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to perform various knife skills
  • ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • good communication and organizational skills
  • ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • perform cooking procedures such as sauté, grill, fry, bake, and roast
  • operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
  • apply knife skills including slicing, chopping, mincing, julienning, and dicing
  • follow standardized recipes and adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste
  • read and execute food orders promptly and accurately
  • ensure timely serving of food and notify leadership of any delays
  • clean and organize walk-in coolers, food production areas, equipment, and general kitchen areas
  • properly store food and chemicals with correct labeling and temperature control
  • clean and break down workstation and ensure that closing duties, equipment shutdown, and kitchen security are complete
  • coordinate with dishwashers, replenish cookware, and perform dishwashing and cleaning as needed
  • model company service basics and adhere to corporate policies, safety procedures, and brand standard operating procedures
  • report accidents, facility issues, or unsafe conditions promptly
  • perform other duties as assigned
