Job Duties
- Learn and competently execute various cooking methods and techniques under direct supervision
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, slicing, and portioning, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation throughout the shift, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations
- Follow established recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality of all dishes
- Monitor food freshness and quality, reporting any issues to the lead cook or kitchen manager
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative kitchen environment, working effectively with all team members
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies
- Understand and comply with all food safety and hygiene policies and procedures, including proper temperature control and cross-contamination prevention
- Perform dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning duties as required
