Job Description
Delaware North's Patina Group stands as a recognized leader in the premium segment of the restaurant and catering industry. With a prestigious portfolio that includes managing renowned venues such as Lincoln Center, Walt Disney World, Disneyland, the Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, and The Metropolitan Opera, Patina Group is celebrated for its exceptional culinary and service standards. Recognized as one of America's Top 25 restaurant groups by Nation's Restaurant News, the company embodies a legacy of culinary excellence and commitment to guest satisfaction.
Patina Group operates under the larger Delaware North umbrella—a global, family-owned company with over a century of history and a reputation for fostering unique career development opportunities across various hospitality sectors. Delaware North’s operations span iconic sports arenas, national parks, casinos, hotels, and retail environments, providing a dynamic and supportive workplace for individuals at all career stages. The organization embraces diversity and inclusion, offering equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, national origin, disability status, or other protected characteristics.
Joining the Patina Group team means becoming part of a vibrant culture that values teamwork, personal growth, and delivering world-class guest experiences. The company is deeply invested in the well-being and professional development of its employees, providing comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement in the hospitality industry, whether you are seeking part-time or full-time employment.
This particular role of Line Cook is based at Nick and Stef's Steakhouse in Los Angeles, California. The position offers either full-time or part-time employment at a competitive pay rate ranging from $19.00 to $22.00 per hour. As a Line Cook, you will play a critical role in the kitchen by preparing dishes in strict accordance with established recipes and the chef's specifications. This position requires precision, speed, and a deep commitment to food safety and quality.
Your daily responsibilities include correctly measuring, portioning, and cooking food items promptly; ensuring that all food is stored safely and held at the appropriate temperatures; performing designated opening, closing, and side work duties per procedural guidelines; and maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation. Additionally, you will apply waste control practices to minimize spoilage and contribute to kitchen efficiency.
Ideal candidates will possess at least one year of experience as a prep cook or line cook, with the ability to follow directions accurately, prioritize multiple orders efficiently, and exhibit basic math skills for recipe measurements. Educational requirements are flexible, and no high school diploma or GED is necessary. Because of the physical nature of the job, candidates should be prepared for manual dexterity tasks such as chopping and mixing as well as the physical stamina needed to carry heavy pans, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperature conditions.
Working shifts will primarily be evenings, holidays, and weekends, offering a dynamic schedule ideal for those seeking flexibility. Delaware North also supports its team with ongoing training and development opportunities, employee discounts, and a flexible work environment.
This role is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking, well-established company that is as committed to its employees as it is to its customers. Whether you aspire to grow within Patina Group or seek a rewarding hospitality career filled with challenges and teamwork, this Line Cook position at Nick and Stef's Steakhouse offers the platform to succeed and thrive in an iconic culinary setting.
