Landmark Hotel Group is currently seeking a dedicated AM Line Cook for the Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront located at 100 E. Constance Road, Suffolk, Virginia. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about the culinary arts and eager to contribute to a high-quality guest experience in a full-service hotel restaurant environment. The AM Line Cook plays a critical role in opening the kitchen and ensuring all food preparation meets the department’s standards. Responsibilities include setting up the work station, inspecting tools and equipment, following production schedules, and preparing menu items according to established recipes and yield guides. The Line Cook is expected to actively communicate with the Kitchen Manager and Chef regarding inventory needs, shortages, and availability of menu specials to ensure smooth kitchen operations throughout the shift.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year experience as a line cook at a hotel or full-service restaurant
- Ability to obtain Food Handling and Sanitation Certification within four weeks of hire
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Good physical stamina for kitchen work
Job Qualifications
- One year experience as a line cook at a hotel or full-service restaurant
- Ability to obtain Food Handling and Sanitation Certification within four weeks of hire
- Commensurate or transfer skill set is of primary importance
- Good attitude and work ethic practices to attain maximum operating efficiency while ensuring adherence to guest satisfaction criteria
- Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required
Job Duties
- Complete opening duties including setting up work station with required tools, equipment, and supplies according to standards
- Inspect cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment, and supplies
- Check production schedule and pars
- Establish priority items for the day
- Inform Chef/Kitchen Manager of any supplies that need to be requisitioned for the day's tasks
- Transport supplies from storeroom and stock in designated areas
- Start prep work on items needed for the particular menu of the day
- Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides according to department standards
- Inform Chef/Kitchen Manager of any shortages before the item runs out
- Inform F&B service staff of 86'd items and the amount of available menu specials throughout the meal period
