Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Experience in the food preparation field in a restaurant, kitchen or dining area
- Knowledge of food preparation methods and operations
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and materials used in food prep work
- Knowledge of food costing, inventory, POS programs, Excel, Word and other computer programs
- Experience managing employees
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff and the general public
- Ability to perform duties in a clean and professional appearance and manner
- Intermediate understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
- Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
- Previous kitchen management or supervisory experience required
- Professional communication skills required
- Ability to take direction
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized
- Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge
- Food Safety/ Sanitation Certified
