Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years culinary or restaurant experience in a high-volume, full-service environment preferred
  • Food Handler Certification if applicable
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation regulations
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • 2 years of previous experience in restaurant or culinary roles in high volume, full service restaurants preferred
  • Food Handler Certification if applicable
  • Training in knife skills and basic kitchen equipment usage
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to establish positive rapport with diverse personalities
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Flexible schedule availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to the guests in a timely manner
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
  • Follow item specifications including preparation, execution, and presentation
  • Comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Prevent food spoilage and contamination by implementing proper sanitation practices and ensuring health regulation compliance
  • Maintain a clean workstation including tables, grills, fryers, ovens, and refrigeration equipment
  • Assist in cleaning pantry, cooking line, prep kitchen, dish area, and surrounding workspaces
  • Report maintenance or repair needs to the Executive Chef
  • Follow departmental policies and restaurant rules and regulations
