The role of Line Cook at Maui Brewing Company Waikiki is a fantastic opportunity for culinary professionals who are eager to advance their careers in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment. This position is focused on the PM shift, operating from 5 pm to 12:30/1 am, which suits individuals looking for evening work hours. Starting pay begins at $22 per hour plus tips, including a service fee tipping system where 2% of all food sales are distributed to kitchen team members. Additionally, employees can expect extra tips ranging from $1 to $3 per hour, depending on the shift and sales performance. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of line cook experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work PM shift hours (5 pm to 12:30/1 am)
  • Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to learn and support team members
  • Ability to obtain a TB clearance as required by the State of Hawaii

Job Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of prep experience and at least 1 year of line cook experience
  • Experience with at least one of the following stations (Fry, Oven, Grill, Saute, Pantry, Pizza)
  • Good time management and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and ability to follow direction
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, and use hands throughout the shift
  • Can lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in hot, cold, and fast-paced environments
  • Follows safety standards (cut gloves, non-slip shoes, etc.)
  • Reliable and able to work scheduled shifts

Job Duties

  • Work designated station and prepare menu items to company standards
  • Follow prep lists and recipes with accuracy
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Use and maintain kitchen equipment properly
