The role of Line Cook at Trapper's Sushi is vital to the kitchen operations and overall guest satisfaction. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to Trapper's Sushi's established standards for quality, portion size, and presentation. The Line Cook maintains food safety and sanitation protocols, ensuring efficient kitchen workflow in a high-volume and fast-paced setting. This employment opportunity offers competitive pay starting at $18.50 per hour plus tips and includes medical insurance with 80% employer coverage after 60 days for qualifying hours. Additionally, employees have access to a 401(k) plan with company matching after one year of service, voluntary dental and vision insurance plans, an Employee Assistance Program, paid sick leave according to Washington state and local laws, employee meal discounts, and opportunities for career advancement within the restaurant group.

As a Line Cook, you become an integral part of the back-of-house team where clear communication and supporting fellow team members during peak hours are essential. You will be entrusted with crucial tasks such as maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation in accordance with health department guidelines, properly handling and rotating food inventory using FIFO methods, and demonstrating knife safety and proper equipment use. This role demands strong time management skills, attention to detail, and reliability to support smooth service flow and uphold the high standards expected at Trapper's Sushi. The position requires working evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs and contributing to a respectful, team-first work environment. Besides technical culinary skills, the ideal candidate will embody the spirit of teamwork, respect, and professionalism that defines Trapper's Sushi's culture. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced cooks and individuals willing to develop their culinary skills within a respected restaurant group focused on quality and growth.
