We are seeking a dedicated and talented individual to join Marriott Syracuse Downtown as a Line Cook I for 11 Waters restaurant. This role is pivotal in assisting the Sous Chef and Executive Sous Chef in the kitchen to ensure the timely and high-quality preparation of menu items. As a Line Cook I, you will play an essential role in upholding the fine dining standards that 11 Waters is known for by preparing food consistently following recipe cards, production, and portion standards, ensuring every dish meets the presentation and quality expected by our guests.

Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in fine dining
- Proficient knife and light butchery skills with at least 1 year experience
- Flexible availability especially on weekends
- Ability to adapt to changing work environments and hotel procedures
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to solve routine problems and ask for help as needed
- Commitment to maintaining professional appearance and guest relations at all times

Job Duties
- Inspect, select and use food items of the highest quality in preparation of all menu items
- Ensure food to order items for customers and guests are delivered in a timely and consistent manner
- Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklist
- Date all food containers and rotate
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
