Job Requirements
- U.S. work authorization required
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must have basic math skills to handle transactions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Legible handwriting
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to follow safety protocols including knife handling
- Protective clothing including slip resistant shoes required
- Ability to use slicers and heavy equipment if over 18
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of kitchen experience preferred but not required
- Basic math skills including ability to add, subtract, and count change
- Legible handwriting
- Strong customer service and oral communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to lift, carry, and deliver items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to smoothly navigate dining room, kitchen and other facility areas
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Job Duties
- Know and understand every item on the menu including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
- Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
- Work closely with the Chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
- Work on timing to get every ticket out in an appropriate amount of time
- Stay focused on designated tasks during prime service hours
- Communicate consistently with co-workers
- Practice safe knife handling
- Open and close the kitchen properly and follow the opening and closing checklist for kitchen stations
- Help with prepping and getting ready when your station is ready for service
