Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or provide proof of work permit
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift 30 pounds regularly
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends based on business needs
  • Food Handler Certification
  • Minimum 6-12 months culinary or kitchen experience
  • Clear communication skills
  • Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation procedures

Job Duties

  • Work closely with the culinary team and support overall café operations
  • Maintain full understanding and knowledge of the Erewhon brand and café menu
  • Assist in preparing and cooking various food items in compliance with quality standards and portions
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as directed by the Culinary Manager
  • Complete end-of-day inventory and other opening/closing duties according to company checklists
  • Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, equipment, and coolers
  • Assist the Culinary Team with incoming orders and store them accordingly
  • Operate basic kitchen equipment safely
  • Follow proper knife safety procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
