The Line Cook position at Flight Club plays a crucial role within their Back of House team, reporting directly to the Executive Chef. This part-time or full-time role offers an hourly wage ranging from $16 to $21, depending on experience and shift availability. Job Requirements
- Authorized to legally work in the US
- Able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift over 50 plus lbs if necessary
- Available to work various shift times and days, including weekends and holidays
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to comply with company policies and procedures
- Ability to pass exams with 90 percent or better in required categories
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Job Qualifications
- Current food handler’s certification maintained through employment
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience preferably within a high-volume environment
- Demonstrated ability to work various shift times and days, including weekends and holidays
- Proven skills in multitasking and managing multiple orders simultaneously
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with front-of-house staff
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Experience in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
- Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures
Job Duties
- Prepare dishes to meet guest preferences, using a full understanding of food menus, packages, and classic recipes
- Maintain open communication with the FOH team to ensure seamless delivery of guest orders and satisfaction
- Assist in putting away deliveries, storage rotation, and cooler organization
- Maintain correct par levels and minimize waste
- Ensure a high standard of hygiene, tidiness, and cleanliness is maintained to health code
- Adhere to cleaning schedules, ongoing cleaning, including setup and breakdown
- Follow all health and safety guidelines maintaining to proper procedures and reporting to management any hazardous situation or incident
- Comply with the Company’s rules and procedures along with any reasonable requests made from management during a shift
- Report for all scheduled shifts punctually in proper attire to proper health and hygiene standards
- Capability to multitask under pressure and produce menu items efficiently while working on multiple orders at once
- Compile the daily prep list completing all tasks per station timely to standard
- Foster a collaborative kitchen environment by training junior team members and leading by example in upholding standards
- Encourage teamwork and positivity among staff, even during high-pressure situations
- Pass exams with 90 percent or better in food and all issued training and testing throughout employment
