Job Requirements

U.S. work authorization required
Basic math skills required
Ability to add, subtract and write legibly
Strong customer service skills

Job Qualifications

At least one year of kitchen experience preferred but not required
Basic math skills including addition and subtraction
Legible handwriting
Strong customer service skills
Effective oral communication skills
Ability to work well in a team
Willingness to learn and take initiative
Ability to adhere to safety standards

Job Duties

Know and understand every item on the menu including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
Work closely with the chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
Work on timing to get every ticket out in an appropriate amount of time
Communicate consistently with co-workers during prime service hours
See who else may need help with prepping and getting ready when your station is ready
Keep your workstation clean and stocked
Practice safe knife handling and seek training if needed
Assist in putting away deliveries when needed
Lift up to 50 pounds
Respect each co-worker including front of house
Look for ways to be productive in spare time
Open and close the kitchen properly following checklists and assist others in closing
Report co-worker problems to management
Arrive promptly in full uniform for shifts and meetings
Submit days off requests 2 weeks in advance for manager approval
Follow employee handbook policies
Maintain a positive attitude and have fun at work
