Job Description
Delaware North's Patina Group is a renowned leader in food service management, with a rich history spanning over 100 years as a family-owned company. Operating some of the busiest and most prestigious kitchens worldwide, Delaware North delivers exceptional culinary experiences in iconic venues ranging from sports arenas and casinos to national parks and urban food halls. In the Boston Hub area, locations such as Banners Kitchen & Tap, Momosan, and the Boston Hub Food Hall highlight their commitment to serving exquisite cuisines and creating unforgettable dining experiences. Delaware North is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace culture that values diversity, growth, and employee well-being.
We are currently seeking part-time Line Cooks to join our dynamic team at Hencraft at Hub Hall in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about cooking who want to work in a fast-paced environment alongside a supportive team. As a Line Cook, you will be instrumental in ensuring that food preparation meets the high-quality standards set forth by the chef. The position offers a competitive pay rate of $20.00 per hour and includes a flexible work schedule with shifts available during the day, evenings, weekdays, and weekends.
The Line Cook role involves preparing dishes accurately according to recipes and chef instructions, ensuring correct food temperatures, and maintaining safe food storage practices. You will also be responsible for performing various opening, closing, and side work duties, which are essential to keeping the kitchen running smoothly. Maintaining cleanliness and organization at your workstation and ensuring equipment is well-stocked and clean are critical aspects of this position. Additionally, you will follow waste control guidelines and document any food spoilage to minimize unnecessary waste.
At Delaware North, we understand the importance of personal and professional growth, which is why we provide extensive training and development opportunities to help our employees advance their careers in the hospitality industry. The comprehensive benefits package extends beyond competitive wages to include employee discounts, weekly pay, and flexible work schedules designed to accommodate individual needs. This role does not require a high school diploma or GED, making it accessible to a broad range of applicants, though prior experience as a prep or line cook is preferred.
Physical stamina is essential for this position, with duties involving manual dexterity for chopping, mixing, and blending, as well as the ability to carry heavy pans weighing up to 50 pounds. Working conditions vary with exposure to different temperatures, and the role demands constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive motions. Delaware North values its employees and fosters a workplace where diversity and inclusion are priorities. Applicants are considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other protected status.
Joining Delaware North means becoming part of a global legacy where your contributions help shape the future of hospitality. Whether you are seeking part-time employment or looking for long-term career growth, Delaware North offers unique opportunities to thrive in great places alongside passionate professionals. Pull up a chair to our table and join us in delivering great times and great food at one of Boston's most exciting food venues.
