The role of a seasonal Cook at Great American Ball Park is vital to the success of Delaware North's culinary team. This position is responsible for preparing food that adheres to strict portion sizes, quality standards, and safety policies ensuring every guest receives a satisfying and safe meal. The cook collaborates closely with serving team members to facilitate smooth and timely food service during a variety of events including day games, evening matches, weekends, holidays, and special events. Furthermore, cooks will perform opening and closing duties, side work tasks, and conduct end-of-day inventory to ensure operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate for this position possesses at least one year of experience in a back-of-house food service environment and is capable of reading and understanding prep sheets and recipes. Basic math skills to calculate recipe measurements and portions are essential. While no formal education such as a high school diploma or GED is required, physical stamina is necessary as the role involves standing and walking during shifts in moderate to high noise levels and manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whip, and operate kitchen equipment. Candidates must also be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, reaching, bending, and squatting as required.

Joining Delaware North means becoming part of a global legacy that takes pride in shaping the future of hospitality across the globe. Employees enjoy flexible work schedules, training and development opportunities, and employee discounts, alongside eligibility for health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation and holidays, parental leave, employee assistance programs, and tuition reimbursement for qualifying team members.

Overall, this seasonal Cook position provides a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment within one of America’s most beloved sports venues, offering both valuable industry experience and the chance to be part of a company that puts people first.
