Job Requirements
- Education, training or experience demonstrating ability to perform essential functions
- Experience as cook or fry cook
- Completion of commercial cooking apprenticeship or vocational training preferred
- Food Handler's Card obtained within 30 days of employment
- Ability to work full-time in fast-paced kitchen environment
- Commitment to following safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to train and mentor staff
- Must be able to work as part of a team
- Willingness to comply with union membership requirements
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- Education, training and/or experience demonstrating ability to perform essential functions
- Experience as a cook or fry cook
- Completion of commercial cooking apprenticeship or vocational training certificate programs
- Experience in restaurants, catering or fine dining
- Degree in culinary arts desirable
- Food Handler's Card within 30 days required
- Knowledge of proper preparation and cooking methods

Job Duties
- Understands and executes recipes of increasing complexity
- Oversees and ensures proper daily food preparation and production
- Assists chef and culinary team in the overall kitchen and culinary execution
- Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
- Ensures that the kitchens are maintained in a clean and orderly condition
- Follows proper safety and sanitation methods are consistently followed
- Prepares all culinary needs for banquets, full-service, and QSRs
- Assists with new hire training and mentors staff
- Orders supplies based on daily inventories and par sheets
