The Line Cook position at Sagewood offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals who are passionate about cooking and eager to contribute to a rewarding senior living environment. This full-time role involves preparing and serving delicious, high-quality meals for the Sagewood residents, utilizing expertise in commercial kitchen operations such as prepping, cooking, plating, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. The position features varied shifts including 7am-3pm, 11:30am-7:30pm, 11:30am-8:00pm, and Sunday 7am-3pm, with occasional weekends and holidays, providing a balance between day and evening work. A unique perk of the role includes a guarantee of no late nights, allowing employees to enjoy a healthy work-life balance while earning between $19.00 and $23.00 per hour.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of three years cooking experience in relevant settings
  • Must have Arizona Food Handlers Card
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must pass drug screening and background checks
  • Flu vaccine required
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years cooking experience in a senior living community, hotel, restaurant, or club
  • Passion for cooking and food preparation
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of commercial kitchen operations and food safety standards
  • Arizona Food Handlers Card
  • Ability to work on feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to pass required drug screening and background checks

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards
