Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- One to two years of related work experience in a similar position
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 70 lbs, bending, climbing, and standing continuously
- Ability to work in high-temperature kitchen environments
- Capacity to follow verbal and written instructions
- Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure all dishes are prepared efficiently and accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences
- Check all items against recipe cards and verify use records
- Monitor line setup prior to meal functions
- Monitor equipment maintenance and adhere to kitchen clean-as-you-go policy
- Prepare food of consistent quality following recipes and production standards
- Start food items prepared ahead of time without exceeding estimated needs
- Date and rotate food containers per SOP and maintain proper temperatures
- Check pars for shift use and determine necessary preparation
- Note any out-of-stock items or shortages
- Assist in keeping buffet stocked
- Return unused food items to designated storage, properly covering and dating perishables
- Assist in food cost control by reducing waste and loss according to SOP
