Located in a vibrant setting, The Heritage at Brentwood offers independent living, skilled nursing, and assisted living facilities, making it a comprehensive senior care establishment. Their culinary team plays a vital role in enhancing the residents’ daily experience by delivering excellent dining options through multiple distinctive venues within the community.
Notable venues include Fireside Grille, a contemporary restaurant serving American classics and comfort foods throughout the day; Southern Oak, an upscale dining venue that provides exquisite dinner experiences from Monday through Friday; Steeplechase Lounge, a casual evening spot with classic cocktails; Corner Market, which offers fresh baked pastries and quick bites; and Poplar Hall, a space dedicated to catering events within the community. Additionally, The Heritage at Brentwood maintains a 5-star rated skilled nursing facility known as Somerfield Health Center, where dietary services are integral to resident care.
The Prep/Line Cook position is a full-time opportunity within this dynamic culinary operation. The role is focused on preparing food and menu items under the guidance of the Executive Chef, ensuring consistency in quality, temperature, and presentation. The position requires accommodating special dietary needs and preparing a variety of dishes, from soups and appetizers to main courses and sides. This role demands collaboration with front-of-house staff to provide seamless and excellent service to residents.

The cook is responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary workstation, adhering strictly to personal hygiene and dress code requirements. Knowledge of proper kitchen equipment operation and maintenance is essential. The typical work schedule aligns with kitchen operation hours, typically closing by 8:00 pm most nights, offering a balanced workday.
The Heritage at Brentwood not only offers candidates a rewarding career in a supportive environment but also competitive benefits. Full-time employees enjoy comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage. The company provides employer-paid basic life and long-term disability insurance, plus optional voluntary life and short-term disability policies. Employees can also participate in a 401(k) Retirement Plan, benefit from an Employee Referral Bonus Program, and have access to daily pay, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, free parking, and a safe work environment.
