Flanker Kitchen & Sporting Club is a vibrant and revolutionary dining, drinking, and entertainment establishment set to open mid-September across from Delta Center in Fountain Plaza at The Gateway. Owned and operated by the well-known Las Vegas-based Carver Road Hospitality group, Flanker Kitchen & Sporting Club offers a dynamic complex that includes a restaurant, three bars, 400-square-feet of LED screens, private karaoke and golf simulator rooms, a central nightclub, and a cocktail lounge with bowling. The role of a Line Cook at Flanker Kitchen & Sporting Club is vital in ensuring the kitchen maintains its high standards for food preparation and consistency. The position involves the preparation of food using established company recipes and menu items, which requires a thorough understanding of the culinary techniques and ingredients unique to the Flanker Kitchen experience. Line Cooks are responsible for ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and are presented attractively, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and repeat patronage. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about cooking, eager to work in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment, and willing to collaborate as part of a like-minded team focused on continuous improvement and excellence in hospitality. Job Requirements
- Must have a current Utah Food Handler Card
- able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods
- able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs
- able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- able to perform repetitive motions
- able to work in hot and potentially hazardous kitchen environments
Job Qualifications
- Culinary or related education preferred
- experience working in a high-volume kitchen environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team setting
- excellent communication skills
- willingness to learn and improve
- current Utah Food Handler Card
Job Duties
- Handles all allergy and or dietary restrictions and modifications
- accurately follows all orders received from the POS system and or direction from the expeditor
- maintains cleanliness and sanitation of assigned station, the kitchen and the entire venue in accordance with Health Department
- possesses in-depth knowledge of assigned recipes and execution
- communicates product needs to the chefs and the support staff
- required to check cover counts, BEOs and or Fire Sheets
- properly sets-up station and performs opening and closing procedures as directed by management
