The role of Line Cook is essential to our kitchen operations, responsible for preparing a variety of food items such as appetizers, entrees, and desserts to meet the high standards expected by our clientele. The Line Cook prepares meals in accordance with recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications, ensuring fresh ingredients are used and meals are seasoned properly. Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety in the work area is a top priority, as is ensuring all necessary equipment is readily available throughout each shift. In this role, the Line Cook will set up their station following community guidelines, including working with saute, grill, broil, fry, and pantry sections. The successful candidate will be expected to prepare meals while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards, restock ingredients throughout their shift, and assist with cleaning and organizing kitchen spaces including storage areas and walk-in coolers. We seek individuals with culinary certification or associate of occupational studies degrees, recent restaurant experience, and preferably some fine dining background. The Line Cook must be adaptable with open availability and possess effective multitasking and communication skills to excel under pressure.

Job Requirements
- Have a high school diploma
- culinary degree preferred
- be 18 years or older
- have good communication skills
- have a good work ethic and be punctual
- have some knowledge of food preparation and health and safety standards
- have an understanding of cooking methods and ingredients
- know how to properly use and maintain station equipment
- be able to follow directions
- be customer-oriented

- be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays

Job Qualifications
- 1-3 years in a high-volume scratch kitchen (hotel, upscale casual, or fine dining)
- knowledge of classical and contemporary cooking techniques
- familiarity with combi ovens, flat-tops, fryers, and sous-vide
- current food-handler card (ServSafe or local equivalent) or ability to obtain within 30 days
- knife proficiency
