We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Full Time Line Cooks to join Green Street Smoked Meats. This role offers a competitive hourly wage of $21 to $25, reflecting the candidate's level of skill and experience. As a line cook, you will play a critical role in the kitchen, preparing menu items in cooperation with the culinary team and following Hogsalt’s Recipe Index to ensure food quality and timely service. This position requires a passion for cooking, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety. Team members are expected to contribute to a positive and professional work atmosphere by communicating effectively with colleagues and leadership, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant environment and who shares Hogsalt’s values of harmony, accountability, and resilience. You will need to be open to working nights, weekends, and holidays, demonstrating flexibility and reliability. Physical stamina is necessary for this position as it involves standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in potentially hot or cold conditions.

Job Requirements
- One year of cooking experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant
- Passion for excellence, superior service standards, and a positive attitude
- Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift, including frequent bending, lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds, and stooping
- Ability to remain positive and productive in a potentially hot or cold work environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of one year cooking experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant
- Passion for excellence and superior service standards
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively
- Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Job Duties
- Set up and stock station with all necessary supplies, ensuring proper inventory control
- Cook and prepare menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff according to the Hogsalt Recipe Index, ensuring food quality and time standards are always met
- Maintain a high level of communication, understand the verbiage for call backs of menu items, and keep lines of dialogue open and relevant to service
- Answer, report to, and follow instructions and direction from Sous Chef, Executive Chef, or other leadership
- Properly clean and break down station at the end of service, ensuring all food handling and food storage standards are met
- Ensure that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations at all times
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers, leadership, vendors, and guests
