We are currently seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing menu items following standardized recipes and yield guides to ensure consistent quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience working as a Line Cook in a hotel, resort, or restaurant environment, capable of handling all stations within the kitchen line. The role requires someone with a strong work ethic and a proactive attitude who enjoys working as part of a team focused on delivering outstanding guest experiences. Responsibilities include directing, training, and monitoring the performance of other Line Cooks, maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas and kitchen equipment, and communicating with the Sous Chef concerning supply needs and production priorities. This position demands flexibility in scheduling, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Attention to detail and adherence to food safety and sanitation standards through proper food handling certification are mandatory. This role not only requires culinary expertise but also strong leadership and communication skills to manage team dynamics effectively and ensure seamless kitchen operations.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five years experience as a Line Cook in a hotel, resort or restaurant
- Food handling certification
- Ability to work all kitchen stations
- Willingness to work varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity
- Effective verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties
- Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides
- Direct, train, and monitor performance of Line Cooks
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment
- Prepare and assign production and prep work for Line Cooks to complete
- Review priorities and communicate additions or changes throughout the shift
- Set up work station with required mis en place, tools, equipment, and supplies
- Breakdown work stations and complete closing duties at the end of last shift of the day
- Inform the Sous Chef of any supplies needing requisition for the day
