Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • proven cooking experience in a food service environment
  • current Food Handlers Card
  • strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • excellent communication skills
  • physical ability to perform job duties
  • ability to work a scheduled shift from Tuesday to Saturday, 11:30 am - 7:30 pm
  • criminal background check clearance
  • availability to work both indoors and outdoors during events

Job Qualifications

  • at least eighteen years of age
  • able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • possess current Food Handlers Card as specified by the Department of Health
  • demonstrated skills in leadership, training, and supervision
  • proficient written and oral communication skills
  • physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the shift
  • ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds
  • comfortable working in extreme temperatures
  • ability to work both indoors and outdoors
  • criminal background clearance

Job Duties

  • prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes
  • ensure exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion
  • ensure health protocols including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures are always followed
  • familiarize with residents and their preferences and needs
  • participate in resident orientations
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • work collaboratively with other team members to enhance residents' dining experience
