Job Description
We are an established and thriving restaurant open seven days a week, dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences during both lunch and dinner hours. We are currently seeking experienced full-time skilled Line Cooks to join our culinary team. This role is critical in the kitchen, responsible for preparing food orders with precision and consistency according to prescribed recipes and established standards. The ideal candidate is someone who is not only proficient in cooking techniques but also demonstrates a friendly demeanor, flexibility in tasks, and the ability to communicate effectively in English. As part of our dynamic kitchen environment, you will be expected to perform all culinary duties that contribute to the overall success of the restaurant’s operation. This includes expediting tickets accurately and timely, understanding printed tickets or kitchen monitors, and upholding health and safety standards throughout the food preparation process. Job Requirements
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Knowledge of and ability to consistently prepare all food recipes and sub-recipes as instructed
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbal and written form in a professional manner
- Ability to expedite tickets accurately and timely and read/understand kitchen monitors or printed tickets behind the cooks' line
- Proper cooling and storing practices per health department rules and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to follow directions in a fast-paced environment
- Manage time effectively and work well in a team environment
- Must have a valid State Health Card and any other government-required cards at all times during employment
- A desire to learn, grow, and a passion for progress in this career
