The current opportunity is for a Cook position at the Cambridge Senior Living community located at 2900 S Jefferson Ave, Springfield, MO. This position is offered on an as-needed (PRN) basis, featuring a shift schedule that varies to suit the operational needs of the facility. The starting wage for cooks ranges from $18.00 to $19.00 per hour, reflecting the company’s commitment to competitive pay for quality employees. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • current Food Handlers Card
  • physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day
  • ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • comfort with exposure to extreme temperatures including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
  • ability to work indoors and outdoors for events
  • criminal background clearance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • current Food Handlers Card as specified by the Department of Health
  • demonstrated skills in leadership, training, and supervision
  • proficient written and oral communication skills
  • ability to work effectively with management, professional, and support staff
  • ability to handle kitchen equipment safely
