The position of Cook at Ridgemere Senior Living, which is part of the Arrow Senior Living community in Conway, Arkansas, presents a rewarding career opportunity in the culinary field within a senior living setting. This full-time role operates Tuesday through Saturday from 6:30 am to 2 pm, with a competitive starting wage ranging from $16.00 to $17.50 per hour. The cook is a vital part of the team, responsible for preparing menu items according to established standards and recipes to ensure exceptional quality and attractive presentation in a timely manner. Job Requirements

  • At least eighteen years of age
  • current Food Handlers Card
  • ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day
  • ability to lift or move items up to 50 pounds frequently
  • comfortable working near extreme temperatures including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
  • availability to work both indoors and outdoors
  • criminal background clearance

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • possession of a current Food Handlers Card as required by the Department of Health
  • demonstrated skills in leadership, training, and supervision
  • proficient written and oral communication skills with management and staff
  • comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping throughout the workday
  • ability to frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds
  • ability to work indoors and outdoors during events
  • criminal background clearance
