Highland Springs by Erickson Senior Living is a premier continuing care retirement community nestled on a sprawling 89-acre campus in North Dallas, Texas. As part of Erickson Senior Living, one of the largest and most respected senior living and health care providers in the nation, Highland Springs offers an exceptional quality of life for residents through a vibrant lifestyle, financial stability, and focused health and well-being services. The community stands out by promoting a warm and engaging environment where residents can thrive, supported by a network committed to excellence and compassionate care. The organization values diversity and inclusion, fostering a workplace free from discrimination or harassment. This dedication ensures that every employee, resident, and visitor experiences respect and dignity.
We are excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for experienced line cooks who are passionate about culinary arts and committed to teamwork. The role is within our Signature Dining program, known for its emphasis on scratch cooking and chef-inspired dishes that differentiate us in the senior living industry. As a line cook at Highland Springs, you will work alongside a dedicated dining team that passionately contributes to improving the lives of our residents. Your expertise will help prepare high-quality meals, ensuring every dish meets stringent standards of safety, portioning, temperature, and presentation. This is a unique role, combining fine dining culinary skills with the fulfillment of serving a special community.
This position offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $19.50 to $22.00, based on experience, and includes a $500 sign-on bonus for new hires. Unlike typical restaurant jobs, this role provides a better work-life balance, free from late-night shifts, ideal for individuals seeking a stable and supportive work environment. Moreover, Highland Springs offers a range of benefits such as discounted medical and dental coverage for employees working over 30 hours, a company 401(k) plan with up to 3% matching contributions, onsite medical centers for wellness and sick care, and opportunities for professional growth and training within a thriving company. Additional perks include the use of state-of-the-art culinary equipment, a clean and safe kitchen environment, free onsite parking, and assistance programs for education, certification reimbursement, and student loan refinancing.
Joining Highland Springs means becoming part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to making a meaningful difference every day. If you have at least one year of cook-to-order experience and are available to work weekends and holidays, this role is a wonderful chance to advance your culinary career in an inspiring setting. Here, your culinary talents will directly impact resident satisfaction and help create memorable dining experiences. We look forward to welcoming a skilled line cook who will share our commitment to quality, teamwork, and service excellence.
