The Development Kitchen team plays an essential role in testing new recipes and culinary concepts, ensuring that each dish meets rigorous standards for quality before it reaches customers. In this position, you will maintain a clean and well-organized kitchen environment within a DoorDash-operated facility, which is crucial for food safety and smooth kitchen operations. You will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, and distributing cookware throughout your shift, setting a high standard for kitchen cleanliness and organization.
Beyond cleaning and organization, you will also manage inventory by receiving shipments, organizing stock using the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method, keeping track of kitchen pars, and reporting shortages to the management team. Support for the culinary development team is a key aspect of the role, as you will assist with daily food preparation tasks and special projects, helping to craft culinary offerings that delight customers across multiple cuisine types.

Job Requirements
- One year or more experience working in high volume kitchen environments
- Knowledge of inventory management using FIFO method
- Ability to maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to food safety standards
- ServeSafe certification or commitment to obtain it
- Physical ability to handle cleaning, inventory tasks, and food prep
- Strong communication skills and team collaboration
- Availability to work in a fast-paced, delivery-only kitchen setting
Job Qualifications
- One year or more experience as dishwasher, prep cook, or line cook in high volume kitchen
- Experience receiving and organizing restaurant inventory using FIFO method
- Ability to prepare food from scratch, make hot and cold sauces, and basic knife skills
- ServeSafe certified or willing to become certified
- Highly organized and able to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and ability to execute tasks with speed and accuracy
- Keen interest in learning new culinary skills and techniques
