Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work during daytime shifts
- Basic proficiency in English or Spanish for understanding recipes and safety guidelines
- Physical capability to perform kitchen duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to learn all kitchen roles and follow health and safety regulations
- Commitment to teamwork and positive work ethic
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Prior restaurant experience is recommended but not required
- Skilled with the use of cookware needed for the position
- Able to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy
- Ability to work with high temperature equipment and in a high heat facility
Job Duties
- Proper food handling and storage
- Preparing and portioning food products prior to cooking
- Accurately and efficiently cooking food
- Ability to read in English or Español and following all recipes, portions, guidelines, sanitation, and basic safety to produce food according to the Turning Point and Health Department guidelines
- Learn and work in all kitchen areas including cooking stations, food prep, and dishwashing positions
- Support the team by performing tasks as requested by management
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
