Job Description

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to work daytime shifts only
  • willingness to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • ability to read and understand instructions in English or Espaol
  • physical ability to stand, lift, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • prior restaurant experience is recommended but not required
  • skilled with the use of cookware needed for the position
  • able to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy
  • ability to work with high temperature equipment and in a high heat facility

Job Duties

  • Proper food handling and storage
  • preparing and portioning food products prior to cooking
  • accurately and efficiently cooking food
  • ability to read in English or Espaol and following all recipes, portions, guidelines, sanitation, and basic safety to produce food according to The Turning Point and Health Department guidelines
  • learn and work in all kitchen areas including the three cooking stations, food prep and dishwashing positions
  • follow management’s instructions and work collaboratively with the team
