This job opening is focused on daytime shifts only, with restaurants closing daily at 3 p.m., allowing employees to avoid nighttime work and maintain a balanced schedule. The role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to pick up shifts at any of the Turning Point locations throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, with the possibility to transfer between locations if one relocates. Employees will receive comprehensive training and support, catering to both English and Spanish speakers, to ensure they are well-prepared and never feel overwhelmed in the work environment.

The position involves working in various kitchen roles within the restaurant, including food preparation, cooking, and dishwashing. Employees are expected to handle food safely and store it properly, prepare and portion food products accurately, and cook food efficiently according to recipes and health department guidelines. The company values teamwork and leadership, as managers lead by example and do not ask employees to perform tasks they would not do themselves. Job Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior restaurant experience is recommended but not required
  • Skilled with the use of cookware needed for the position
  • Able to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy
  • Ability to work with high temperature equipment and in a high heat facility

Job Duties

  • Proper food handling and storage
  • Preparing and portioning food products prior to cooking
  • Accurately and efficiently cooking food
  • Ability to read in English or Espaol and follow all recipes, portions, guidelines, sanitation, and basic safety according to Turning Point and Health Department guidelines
  • Learn and work in all kitchen areas including cooking stations, food prep, and dishwashing
  • Collaborate with managers who lead by example
