The position reports directly to the onsite General Manager, Manager, or Shift Supervisor and requires direct alignment with the restaurant's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Line cooks prepare, cook, and present menu items accurately and consistently, adhering to food safety guidelines and company quality standards. Communication with front-of-house staff and the ability to multitask cooking orders simultaneously with attention to detail is crucial. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized workstation, managing proper food storage, and ensuring all food items are visually appealing and meet portion size requirements. Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent desired but not required
- 1+ years minimum work experience cooking in a restaurant or food service role is desired
- prior food handling experience including kitchen preparation and cooking
- knowledge of food safety standards
- ability to work assigned schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to follow instructions and learn how to perform tasks
- ability to meet health risk regulations concerning food handling
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours in an 8-hour workday
- exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals
- exposure to temperatures less than 32 degrees Fahrenheit and more than 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to perform motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent desired but not required
- 1+ years minimum work experience cooking in a restaurant or food service role is desired

Job Duties
- Prepares food during shifts by following the specifications
- prepares, washes, and cuts food that is to be cooked
- prepares and cooks food according to instructions provided on food, order slips, or through verbal directions
- verifies the quality and quantity of all orders
- multitasks by cooking several different orders at once, ensuring that all items are prepared in accordance with guest orders and at the highest quality
- maintains overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food preparation areas, cooking surfaces dishes, and utensils
- measures food items and portions accurately
- adheres to all quality standards, portion sizes, policies, and procedures
- ensures all food is properly prepared in a timely manner and to specifications
- ensures proper storage of food by maintaining proper temperatures
- keeps all menu items fresh and ensures they retain the highest quality
- carries out opening and/or closing duties of their station(s)
- ensures equipment and workstation are adequately stocked, organized, and clean
- follows a "clean-as-you-go" philosophy
- adheres to all sanitation regulations and health codes
