As a Line Cook in this exciting setting, you will be entrusted with preparing food that delights and fuels the audience. Your role involves executing a wide variety of cooking techniques including sautéing, grilling, frying, baking, and roasting, while operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers efficiently. You will masterfully utilize basic and advanced knife skills to slice, chop, mince, julienne, and dice ingredients, ensuring that each dish meets the highest quality standards by following standardized recipes and portion control guidelines to minimize waste. With the capacity to read and promptly execute food orders using printed tickets or kitchen display systems, you will guarantee that meals are served timely, contributing directly to the overall guest satisfaction.

Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety standards is a cornerstone of this position. You'll be responsible for cleaning and organizing walk-in coolers, food production areas, and kitchen equipment while properly storing food and chemicals with accurate labeling and temperature control. Your diligence in breaking down your workstation at shift-end, returning supplies to their proper places, and ensuring closing side work including turning off equipment and securing the kitchen are critical responsibilities. Coordination with dishwashing staff to replenish cookware and utensils, alongside performing cleaning and dishwashing duties as necessary, rounds out this comprehensive role.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 1 year culinary experience
  • Experience in high-volume restaurant environments preferred
  • Knowledge of food service sanitation standards
  • Ability to perform various cooking techniques and operate kitchen equipment
  • Good communication skills and ability to read and execute food orders
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs, climb stairs, and tolerate extreme heat
  • Manual dexterity for food preparation tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ years culinary experience required
  • Experience in high-volume restaurants preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of food service sanitation standards
  • Skilled in setting up station mise en place with ingredients prepped and organized
  • Ability to work during peak times including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain quality under pressure

Job Duties
